13 Fun Things To Do In Miami

I'm in Miami bi*chhhhh!! I'd been waiting to say this my whole life and you bet this is the first thing I said when I landed in Miami on my Instagram stories. I'm so basic...

This December I finally made the trip to Miami for my first time. I have been to so many other parts of Florida, but never Miami. My little sister moved to Miami last year for a new job and I thought now I have no excuse not to take a trip there. My boyfriend and I stayed with my sister for a few days after the holidays before heading back to LA.

Miami is known for its beaches, abundance of culture, amazing weather and crazy night life. Follow my list of 13 fun things to do in Miami for your first time! You can also head to my Instagram and view my Miami highlight story to see more pictures and videos from my trip. I'm already counting down the days until my next trip, as I still have so much more to do!

Get Drinks at The Versace Mansion

If you love a place with a beautiful aesthetic you can't miss dinner or drinks at Gianni's aka The Versace Mansion. I ordered the Lychee Martini and loved it.

Visit South Beach Miami

After living in LA for six years, I thought our beaches were nice until I saw Miami beaches. The sand was so much whiter and the sun was shining so much brighter. We walked the path on south beach Miami and passed by all the huge hotels and pool parties. This was great people watching.

Take a Boat Tour To See Millionaire Row

Must do in Miami! You can see the whole city skyline and many celebrities homes on the tour. Pro tip: We searched Millionaire boat tour in Miami on Groupon and got tickets for 2 for $30. The boat tour was well worth it and I would have paid full price for it. Tours start and end at Bayside Marketplace. We grabbed a drink at the Lola Bar at Bayside Marketplace before our boat tour at sunset.

Grab Dinner at Time Out Market

Dine and Shop at Brickell City Centre

This upscale shopping and dinner center was my dream mall! It was located in the heart of Brickell close by downtown Miami and all outdoors. It had so many high-end and luxury shops that I've only ever been able to shop online at like Beach Bunny.

There are so many great food options here as well, that you need to dine at. We had one of the best lobster rolls I've ever had at Luke's Lobster.

Tour the University of Miami Campus

I was in awe with how pretty this campus was! It's worth walking through the campus for a few minutes during your trip if you are close by.

Visit the Botanical Garden

Step into Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden that spans out over 83 lush acres! You'll be immersed in colorful tropical gardens, exotic plants, and coastal habitat, butterflies, flowers and wildlife. We were lucky enough to see crocodiles swimming!

Get Drinks at The Broken Shaker

This is on my bucket list, as it is known as a backyard oasis and experience the Tales of Cocktail’s award-winning Best American Hotel Bar. The Broken Shaker’s handcrafted cocktails are made with exotic ingredients from around the world.

Walk the Waterways of Coral Gables

We went on a long walk through the waterways in Coral Gables and they were so beautiful. The best part was we spotted a baby manatee with his mom right in front of us! Manatees are often found here and you will see them the most during the wintertime.

Wynwood Walls

Wynwood Walls is an art and selfie lovers dream. You'll be in an area of abandoned factories that has been turned into a street artist heaven. There are over 800,000 square feet of street art murals to admire from over 50 artists worldwide.

The Wharf Miami

Head to The Wharf Miami for lunch or drinks and watch all the huge yachts cruise by. The waterfront views are spectacular.

Play Mini-Golf at Puttshack

Puttshack Miami is located inside the Brickell City Center. It's a super fun and quick activity to do with family and friends.

Dinner on the Water

We grabbed a casual dinner and drinks at American Social right on the water in Brickell. Very good food and an even better view. We loved watching all the boats pass by.

Since I'm almost 30...we decided we are a little past the club life and didn't want to go to one. I was very happy with our decision and will save the club experience for a special occasion. However, I plan to come back to Miami for my bachelorette party and will do a club or pool party then :)
