Are you going away anytime soon? Going away is something everyone looks forward to! From the moment you book your trip, you’ll mark it in the calendar and the countdown will begin. And as the days get closer to your vacation, the excitement builds and the preparation starts.
We are headed on so many fun trips in 2024, including Thailand at the end of the year. We love exploring new places we've never been to.
Although vacations aren’t meant to be stressful, they do get stressful as they approach and this is often because you need to get everything organized. You need to get your travel insurance paid for, your vacation excursions booked, any transfers to and from the airport sorted and your films downloaded on your phone to watch whilst you are away - knowing how to change my ip address on android can be useful, as you can then change your IP to a different Netflix, to enjoy different shows abroad. I recently signed up for TSA PreCheck as well, because I'll be traveling out of the country this year.
To help take some of the stress away, it’s helpful to start getting prepared as soon as possible. To help you, here is my guide on getting ready for your next vacation.
Travel Insurance
Whether you are going to LA, a UK hotel with a hot tub, a cruise, or anywhere for that matter, it’s important you have travel insurance. Travel insurance is there in case you have an accident (we hope you don’t). It will cover your medical expenses as well as other areas such as lost gadgets or lost luggage. If you don’t have it, you will be expected to pay for your treatments yourself which can be very expensive. There are many travel insurance providers, so make sure you run multiple quotes when deciding which to go for.
Organize your transfers
When you book your vacation, it’s always worth booking your transfers, sooner rather than later, as this can save you money and it’s a job ticked off your list. Wherever you go, there is a good chance you will need a transfer to and from the airport. This can either be by bus, a private chauffeur or taxi. The sooner you organise a transfer, the more options you will have, as sometimes, when you go away, this can be a busy time, reducing your options - for example, going away during the school holidays.
Book your excursions
Picking your excursions is fun and it gives you something to look forward to. Just like your transfers, we would recommend booking your excursions sooner rather than later, to make sure you don’t miss out on something you would really enjoy doing. Certain activities will have limited numbers, that if booked up, you won’t be able to do at all during your trip.
We hope you have found some use in our guide on getting ready for your vacation. As mentioned above, the sooner you start getting ready, the less stressful going away will be as the days approach your holiday.
