The Best Looks For Women With Curvy Figures

How do you create a flattering style if you’re the type of woman with a curvy or fuller busted figure?

Well, you’re about to find out. In this post, I'll share some of my fashion tips that you can use to make the most of your shape and find outfits to match

Check out my following inspo and you can always shop my looks on my Amazon Storefront or LTK.

V-Neck Tops

If you have a fuller bust, a V-neck is the most flattering neckline for you. A V-neck no tonly makes a larger bust smaller, but it's also quite flattering.

The key to a flattering neckline for a larger bust is to break up the distance from the chin to the bottom of the bust.

The pointed shape of a V-neck can redirect attention away from the bust and down toward the center of the body, creating a more balanced look.

My favorite part about V-neck is that they can enhance the waistline by contrasting the width of the bust, helping to create an hourglass figure. It's great if you don't have a natural waist or carry more weight in your stomach, because visually the neckline will draw the eye in and up.

You can instantly feel more feminine while also showing off some skin, which is something that’s often done at weddings and special events

Go For Monochrome Looks

Going for single-color looks can also help. Opting for one specific tone helps you maintain control of your silhouette and ensures that your figure makes more sense to the people viewing it.

These days, you’re spoiled for choice when it comes to monochrome. Bodysuits, latex, and maxi dresses all allow you to find options that hug your figure while also avoiding any changes in pattern or tone.

If you can, prioritize darker colors for these looks. These help to give you even more of a silhouette, showing off more of your form.

Wrap Dresses

You could also pair wrap dresses with underwire bras to see if this pairing works for you. This combination is often a curvy girl’s best friend, offering everything from emphasis of your hourglass shape to offering a sleeker silhouette.

Wrap dresses work because of the way they stick to your body. You get to define your waist and precisely how you want the garment to hug your body. The results won’t ever be perfect, but they can be pretty good if you practice this look.

If you don’t like wrap dresses, you can also try similar fit-and-flare options. These hug the skinniest part of the torso and then flare out at the bottom to create a more feminine appearance. Plus, you can wear them casually or for special occasions, giving you more flexibility.

High-Waisted Jeans

If you don’t have a pair of high-waisted jeans in your wardrobe yet, we seriously recommend investing in some. These instantly pinch you in at the hips, contributing to your figure and helping you get the shape you want.

The best examples of these jeans contain spandex (along with the usual cotton or polyester). This addition allows the garment to stretch, making it more straightforward to fit over your figure.

Look for high-waisted jeans with flares, as these can balance out curves elsewhere. Also, pair the jeans with other chic items, like a tucked-in blouse.

Vertical Stripes

Of course, no post on what to wear if you have a curvy figure would be complete without mentioning the practical benefits of vertical stripes. These help to elongate your look, making you appear taller and more svelte at the same time.

The best place to start is with work-related clothing, like skirts and blazers. These look fantastic when you start adding pinstripes and give you an air of sophistication.
