Living Boldly: How to Face Challenges and Check Off Your Life Goals

Life is full of opportunities, but so often fear or unease prevents us from reaching our highest goals. This is how I'm feeling right now. I'm feeling really scared to go after my next goal that I have in my career! A goal that I've been wanting to make happen my whole life and I know it's time for me to get after it. I can't let fear stop me.

What does this mean, to live boldly and face challenges head-on with the all-or-nothing mindset — well, one that is willing to do so because you are not afraid of failing but rather simply strive for the things in your life that you want in terms of achieving your goals. From exotic trips to personal records, and physical accomplishments — living with bold intention is the key to making our wants a complete reality. Continuing with this guide, you will learn what obstacles to tackle and how to face them head-on with the missed goals in life.

1. Set Clear, Achievable Goals;

Dealing with life’s challenges dreaming big is great, but breaking them down into bite-sized goals keeps them plausible and less overwhelming. Whether it is something like learning a new skill, going to that bucket-list destination you have always wanted, or simply pushing yourself physically.

After you have your goals, And then create a roadmap of how a guide leads up to the goal. So if you concentrate on attainable pieces, you achieve forward momentum and internalized confidence that allows the tallest of goals to be deemed possible.

I've been working on one small thing every weekend the past few months to help me achieve my long term goal. This not only helps to eliminate fear, but I feel better prepared to take that ultimate huge step.

2. Learn to Love (Physically and Mentally) Tough Tasks;

Life goals that require you to push your physical and mental limits are typically some of the most rewarding. You cannot break barriers without feeling uncomfortable. If you feel uncomfortable...this is good!! I've had this feeling so many times right before something amazing happens, especially in my career.

Challenging events such as the 3 peaks challenge (the climb of the highest three peaks in England, Scotland, and Wales) are great to test your physical boundaries but mentally they will support you too.

There is no better feeling than completing such an accomplishment and it shows that with the right mentality and effort, good things come to you. From fitness to self-improvement and learning, the challenges that push us are the ones that make living our quest for growth a reality.

3. Establish a Support System;

Having a support system of friends, family or mentors can help to give you the encouragement and energy to follow through when things get tough. What you want at the end is to tell for sure — a few people would cheer you on, give advice, and assist in keeping you in check!

This way, you not only feel more confident but also know that whatever challenges get in your way can be taken on with the support of people who care about you. You two will be able to celebrate your victories and cringe next to each other as well.

My fiance is my BIGGEST SUPPORTER. This is one of the many reasons why I fell in love with him. I've never had someone ride so hard and believe in me the way he does. He helps me every weekend with my short term goals and plan to achieve my long-term career goal. Before him, I was my own cheerleader. I don't know many people who believed I would make it in LA and I proved them all wrong. :)

4. Celebrate Your Successes;

Great adventurers meet life head-on and conquer it, but they also give honor to themselves along the way. If anything, after EVERY milestone — be sure to pat yourself on the back for all that you have done and how much farther you still have to go.

From scratching a tiny post off your bucket list to achieving something you have been dreaming of all your life, any milestone is worth a celebration. These moments of acknowledgment are motivation for you to press on and explore new areas, encouraging others to do the same.

In conclusion, living boldly to accept whatever life throws at you, facing your fears, and maintaining your goals. If you set clear goals, conquer the voice of doubt, embrace the resistance of both body and mind, and have a supportive ecosystem in place — you should be able to knock out major life accomplishments while also experiencing greater fulfillment. Living boldly and brazenly will freely offer opportunity upon success.

Go for your dreams and don't let anyone stop you. That risk that you are scared to take will change your life. I know it's going to change mine!
