Tips For Planning The Ultimate Girl's Trip

If you’re in need of a break then consider going on a girl’s trip. It’s a chance to use your vacation days at work and let loose and have some fun. I use to do a girl's trip with my college friends every single year, but am only still close with two of them. I realized some friends were just party friends and not meant to stay in your life forever and that's ok! I have my new girl group that I met from living in California that will be my friends for life.

If you’re in charge of the details and logistics (me...I am the type A friend) then you’ve come to the right place to learn more about how to prepare. It’s important to put in the hard work upfront so that you can truly relax and enjoy yourself once you arrive at your destination. Review some tips for planning the ultimate girl’s trip so you can have the best experience ever.

Choose the Right Location & Book Fun Activities

It’s essential that you choose the right location for your girl’s trip. One idea if you love the city and being around people is to visit New York. There’s so much to see and do that your days will be far from boring. New York is a great place to explore and make new memories with your besties. It’s also wise to do your homework and book some fun activities so you know how you will spend your days. One idea is to reserve a spot with the Gossip Girl Tour New York, especially if you were a big fan of the show. Any other Blair Waldorf fans? I also recommend visiting the Met Steps and Grand Central Station.

Create Your Guest List

You want to have a fun and positive experience on your girl’s trip. Most importantly, you want to avoid any drama and having to break up arguments. Like I was mentioning earlier, my old college friend group and I always had some drama on trips. One of the girls loved to roll her eyes at me and I finally decided that was the last time I wanted to see her! So to plan the ultimate girl’s trip by being picky about who you choose to invite. Sit down and think through who you believe will be enjoyable to be around for a few days and who will all get along the best. Then you can work on creating your guest list and notifying your friends of the travel dates and location.

Plan Meals

One of the best parts about getting away is enjoying all the different food. If you’re going to a big city like New York then be glad to know you’ll have plenty of dining options. There will be a variety of foods you’ll want to make sure that you try such as the bagels, pizza, and pastrami. Plan your meals in advance so that you have a good idea of where you’ll eat and can make reservations ahead of time. It’s especially important if you want to dine at some popular spots

Book Accommodations & Research Transportation

Another important matter you’ll need to address as you plan the ultimate girl’s trip is where you will stay. Keep in mind that you don’t always have to book a fancy hotel to have a good time. Instead, you may want to look into hotel alternatives such as renting a villa or home so you have a kitchen you can use and cook in and enough bedrooms for everyone. It’s also a good idea to research transportation options and know how you will get around. If you’ll be doing a lot of walking then tell everyone to pack comfortable shoes.

Decide What to Pack

You want to look and feel your best on your girl’s trip. This may require that you go shopping ahead of time and find some new outfits to wear. I always love getting a whole new wardrobe for any vacation. Research the forecast in advance so you know what type of clothing to pack. You’ll want to prepare for your next vacation by having the appropriate clothing based on the destination vibe as well as the travel season. I LOVE utilizing FashionPass to rent my clothes for vacation. It is such a game changer! Wear it once then return it or keep it for longer. of Use code: BRITTANYR to save on your first order.
